NCSoft executed the largest information protection investment among Korea's listed game companies this year.
According to the information protection disclosure portal on the 2nd, NCSoft's 2025 investment in the institutional sector of information protection was about 14.67 billion won, the largest among Korea's listed game corporations.
Since 2021, NCSoft has invested more than 10 billion won in information protection every year for five consecutive years. Dedicated information protection staff also totaled 81.8 people—61.3 in-house and 20.5 outsourced—the highest among listed game companies.
NCSoft is also strengthening its security management system and certification foundation. It obtained GLOBAL-CBPR (Cross Border Privacy Rules), a global certification for cross-border processing of personal information, for the first time in the domestic game industry. It is also maintaining and renewing ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701, international standards for personal information protection, and ISMS-P, a domestic information protection and personal information protection management system certification.
In addition, to protect services and assets from external threats, it operates SAMS (Security Analysis Management System), a proprietary server security monitoring solution. The company said this enables real-time inspection of security vulnerabilities in global game and platform servers and establishes a system to respond immediately to threats.
These information protection capabilities were reflected in global ESG evaluations. NCSoft was the only domestic game corporations included in the DJSI Asia Pacific Index for three consecutive years. In that evaluation, it ranked within the top 10% in key ESG areas, including information security and personal information protection, human resources management, safety and health, and environmental management.
In addition, it received the top AAA rating in the MSCI 2026 ESG assessment, and was named an "Industry ESG Leader" and "Regional ESG Leader" in the Sustainalytics 2026 ESG Risk Rating.
NCSoft plans to continuously advance its information security and personal information protection systems to global standards and to strengthen the trust foundation so users can safely use services anywhere.
