S2W said on the 1st that it supported Operation CyberProtect III, an international joint operation conducted by Interpol and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
The operation was organized to uncover an organized criminal network that lured women and minors by exploiting subscription-based platforms centered on adult content and then forced them to produce sexual exploitation materials. The criminal group allegedly disguised itself as a legitimate model agency to recruit victims, seized control of account management, and continued its crimes by pocketing most of the revenue.
According to Interpol, the paid-access structure of content subscription platforms and jargon-based communication methods make it difficult to track criminals, and jurisdiction divided by country and challenges in securing evidence are also cited as factors that complicate international joint investigations.
Law enforcement agencies from seven European countries—the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, Sweden, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine—took part in the operation. Participating agencies used digital investigative techniques in a hackathon format to identify 34 suspicious cases, 18 suspect profiles, and 27 potential victims.
S2W joined as the only domestic partner in Interpol's global public-private partnership program, the Gateway Initiative, and used the XARVIS security AI platform for public and government agencies. The company monitored and cross-analyzed crime-related information scattered across the dark web, Telegram, and social media (SNS) to support the investigation.
Suh Sang-duk, CEO of S2W, said, "This cooperation again served as an opportunity to confirm that S2W's data intelligence technology can play a meaningful role in addressing public safety issues facing the international community," adding, "We will continue to advance our cooperation framework with the public sector globally, including Interpol, and contribute to joint efforts to deter the threats posed by transnational criminal networks."
