Shinsegae I&C said on the 30th that it will strengthen disclosure of information related to its climate change response system in its fourth sustainability report.
Shinsegae I&C identified physical risks, transition risks, and opportunities with a focus on the impact of climate change on business operation stability and expense structure, and conducted a comprehensive assessment of business impact, likelihood, and response level. Based on this, it presented key response strategies, including advancing operations based on energy efficiency, strengthening responses to power and carbon risks, and pursuing digital, low-carbon growth centered on cloud and artificial intelligence (AI).
The report was prepared based on GRI, the global sustainability reporting standard, and adopted ISAE 3000, a widely used international standard, for third-party assurance of non-financial information.
Chief Executive Yang Yun-ji of Shinsegae I&C said, "We will continue to faithfully carry out sustainability tasks required of IT specialist corporations, such as responding to climate change and responsible AI management, and strengthen the foundation for sustainable growth through highly reliable disclosures."
