LG CNS will hold a participatory exhibition showcasing digital technology in everyday life.
LG CNS said on the 29th that, together with Seoul Business Agency (SBA), it will host a participatory exhibition under the theme "When technology meets people: consolidation heads toward the heart" at the Seoul Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Showroom from the 1st to the 20th of next month.
This exhibition turns hard-to-see technologies into art content so the public can naturally understand LG CNS's technology and brand identity, and it was planned to broaden touchpoints with the public. Visitors can explore changes that core future technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robots will bring through four exhibition programs: performance, media content, talks, and hands-on experiences.
All exhibits are produced based on LG CNS's "brand experience project," which won four awards at Germany's iF (International Forum) Design Award in April last year, one of the world's three major design awards. It is a platform that integrates and presents a brand's philosophy and corporations identity through design, including the "BX web," which shows such elements, and a "typography system" that can generate proprietary typefaces and characters in various colors and materials. The exhibition concept based on BX was selected as a winner in this year's iF Award institutional sector "Social Impact Exhibition."
The performance program will showcase future technology using robots and hologram technology. An unmanned guided vehicle (AGV) and LG CNS's BX character "CieNuS" will present a runway performance. In addition, the hologram drama produces video depictions of digital technology naturally permeating everyday life with family and friends so visitors can engage with it more familiarly.
The media content is organized around the exhibition's core motif, "Connecting Sphere." Connecting Sphere is a visual element that appears differently—like a dot, sphere, or heart—depending on the viewing angle, and it carries the meaning that technology enables consolidation between people and society in diverse ways.
During the exhibition, a talk program will also be held with creators and researchers from culture, arts, science, and the humanities. In addition, a hands-on program will allow visitors to make their own keyrings and mugs using CieNuS and LG CNS's typography.
Yu Ji-yeon, Head of Team, LG CNS Brand Experience Strategy Team, said, "This exhibition is an attempt to present technology not as a difficult and distant concept but as an experience you can see and feel in everyday life," and added, "We hope this exhibition becomes a moment to think together about the direction technology should take for people's lives and society."
