Hancom Lifecare said on the 26th that, after successfully supplying the latest self-contained breathing apparatus to the Mongolian market, it is pushing additional exports of personal firefighting safety gear and military gas masks to Asian countries and the Middle East.
The breathing apparatus supplied this time is personal safety equipment that protects a worker's breathing in environments with toxic gases, such as fires and disasters. As a latest model that delivers stable performance even in harsh conditions, the company plans to use this supply as a springboard to expand its presence in the Asian market.
Hancom Lifecare plans to expand its business into Asian and Middle Eastern markets based on steady gas mask export results in Central Asia. Through this, it aims to increase overseas orders to 30 billion won.
The company is currently in talks with government agencies in key Middle Eastern countries to supply firefighting equipment. It is also pushing to enter the Middle Eastern defense market with the export-model gas mask "K10," which applies the technology of the new "K5" gas mask supplied to the domestic military. With networks secured through participation in safety equipment exhibitions in the Middle East and Europe, it is pursuing various projects and expects follow-up contracts.
Hancom Lifecare has a product lineup that covers a full range of personal firefighting and safety gear, including breathing apparatus, gas masks, firefighting helmets, and fire boots. The company also expects growth in related businesses as global disaster response and safety demand expand.
Chief Executive Kim Seon-young of Hancom Lifecare said, "As disasters and security threats grow worldwide, demand for proven safety and defense equipment is structurally increasing," and added, "Given the active discussions underway with government agencies and buyers in several countries, including the Middle East, we will turn these into visible order results and leap forward as a key company in the global safety and defense market."
