DeepX said on the 25th that it has unveiled an artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator processor module for Raspberry Pi 5 and will target the global physical AI developer market.
The product was developed and manufactured by Raspberry Pi's official design partner Sixfab, based on DeepX's DX-M1 series Neural Processing Unit (NPU). It meets the Raspberry Pi HAT+ standard and will be released under the product name Sixfab AI HAT+ in two performance options: 13 TOPS and 25 TOPS.
Raspberry Pi is a computing platform widely used for embedded systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), and AI prototype development. Through this collaboration, DeepX has secured a touchpoint for global developers and startups to experience its NPU technology firsthand. The module is designed to run AI models on robots, smart cameras, and industrial equipment without large-scale server infrastructure or constant cloud connection.
Roger Thornton, director of applications at Raspberry Pi, said, "This collaboration will provide a new path for corporate developers and the maker community to develop and scale edge AI applications."
