AhnLab's security solution "AhnLab V3" received the top rating in a global security evaluation.
AhnLab said on the 25th that AhnLab V3 recorded a 100% malware detection rate in the June "VB100" certification evaluation by global security testing organization Virus Bulletin, earning the top A+ rating.
VB100 is a global security certification that verifies the ability to respond to malware distributed in real-world environments for Windows-based endpoint security products. It is a performance evaluation program joined by major global security corporations, assessing detection rates, accuracy, and product stability based on real threat scenarios.
In the June evaluation, AhnLab V3 proved top-tier detection accuracy and stability by meeting the certification criteria for false positives along with a 100% malware detection rate. In particular, among domestic major security corporations that took part in the same evaluation, it was the only one to record 100% detection performance and to receive the top A+ rating.
Based on a verification dataset of malware actually in circulation, it demonstrated security reliability required in real environments by detecting malware in active distribution without misses while meeting the false-positive criteria for normal files.
Hayoung Yang, AhnLab ASEC Deputy Minister, said, "This perfect-score certification verifies the basic security capability of accurately detecting malware distributed in real environments while meeting the false-positive criteria for normal files, and it simultaneously proves AhnLab V3's detection accuracy and engine stability," adding, "We will continue to advance our global-level threat response technologies and AI-based analysis capabilities to provide a consistent and reliable security framework across diverse environments."
