SK hynix's voluntary turnover rate last year was found to be less than 1%. In contrast, hiring rose to 3,201 people, more than tripling from the previous year.
According to the sustainability report released by SK hynix on the 25th, the voluntary turnover rate at domestic business sites last year was 0.5%. By age group, the voluntary turnover rate among those ages 30 to 49 was the lowest at 0.4%. During the same period, the involuntary turnover rate was 0.4%, bringing the overall turnover rate to 0.9%.
SK hynix hired 3,201 new employees last year. That is 3.4 times the previous year (942 people). It is attributed to the first clean room at the Cheongju M15X starting operations in Oct. last year. The starting monthly salary for new employees (bachelor's entry, technical and administrative positions) last year was 4,505,000 won.
As demand for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure expanded and operating profit surged, indirect economic contribution performance also grew significantly. SK hynix said it created a total of 20.3247 trillion won in social value (SV) last year. That is up 69.4% from the previous year. Social value is calculated by summing indirect economic contributions, such as employment, dividends, and taxes, and performance in the environment and social institutional sector.
Indirect economic contribution performance was 20.3561 trillion won, up 69.8% in a year. Of that, tax performance jumped 168.2% to 9.5329 trillion won from 3.5545 trillion won a year earlier. As semiconductor output increased, environmental performance showed a negative impact of minus 972.8 billion won, an expansion of 20.1% from minus 809.7 billion won the previous year. Social performance, which includes social contribution and shared growth, was 941.4 billion won, up 15.1% from 817.7 billion won a year earlier.
The share of female executives was 3.4%, unchanged from the previous year, and SK hynix set this year's target at 3.9%. The share of female Head of Team was 6.8%, up 0.3 percentage points from 6.5% the previous year, with this year's target set at 7.3%. Male employees who took spousal paternity leave totaled 1,091 last year, up 297 from 794 the previous year.
