Naver Cloud is joining hands with Siemens Korea to target the artificial intelligence transformation (AX) of Korea's manufacturing sites.
Naver Cloud said on the 24th that it signed a business agreement with Siemens Korea at Naver 1784 in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, for AX cooperation in the manufacturing industry. Attendees at the signing included Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yu-won; Siemens Korea president and CEO Jeong Ha-jung; and Cedrik Neike, member of the Siemens Group managing board and CEO of Digital Industries (DI).
The core of this cooperation is combining Naver Cloud's AI and cloud infrastructure with Siemens' manufacturing automation, Digital Twin, industrial AI, and OT-IT convergence technologies. The two companies plan to identify industry-specialized solutions that support productivity gains and quality improvement by using data generated throughout the entire manufacturing process, including product design, production, operations, and maintenance.
In particular, based on Naver Cloud's hyperscale and modular data center capabilities, the companies will expand Siemens solutions in a cloud environment and pursue joint customer development, proof of concept (PoC), and reference architecture development. For manufacturing corporations, the range of options will widen to apply AI to actual processes while considering Data Sovereignty and compliance with domestic regulations.
Kim said, "We will help domestic manufacturers verify the effects of AI on the ground," and Vice Chairman Neike said, "We will raise the bar for manufacturing innovation by integrating AI from design to operations."
