Chief Executive Kim Chang-han of Krafton met with Amazon Web Services (AWS) executives to discuss cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud.
Krafton said on the 24th via social media (SNS) LinkedIn that Kim visited AWS headquarters in Seattle, the United States, and held a meeting with key executives including AWS Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Matt Garman.
At the meeting, the two companies shared Krafton's AI vision and discussed potential collaboration on technology development using cloud and AI infrastructure.
They also exchanged views on ways to extend humanoid Robotics and AI-simulation capabilities to the real world.
A Krafton official said, "At this meeting, we exchanged views on the potential for collaboration centered on Krafton's research and development in AI and AWS's cloud and AI infrastructure capabilities," and added, "We plan to continue related discussions going forward."
Krafton has recently been broadening its ties with big tech leaders such as OpenAI and Nvidia, laying the groundwork for cooperation to expand the AI ecosystem. Kim met with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman during his visit to Korea last year, and earlier this month, Krafton Chairperson Jang Byung-gyu met with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to discuss potential cooperation in AI.
