Wemade said on the 24th that it has finalized the official title of the new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) based on the Night Crow intellectual property (IP), which is being developed by Mad Engine, as Night Crow W.
The W in Night Crow W means World. The company said it contains a vision to expand the existing Night Crow universe and to present an MMORPG where users around the world enjoy the game together in a single world.
Night Crow W introduces AI technology across the game's content, including an artificial intelligence (AI)-based companion system. A Wemade official said, "Through this, we plan to provide a differentiated user experience in various play situations, including combat."
The original Night Crow surpassed 750 billion won in cumulative global revenue as of April this year, and recorded 14 million cumulative users, becoming a hit IP.
Kim Ki-seong, Wemade Deputy Minister, said, "We will actively apply AI technology across game content to broaden the user experience and prepare to continue the success of the original through a high-quality global one-build service."
