LG Uplus said on the 24th it signed a strategic business agreement with customer service and customer relationship management (CRM) specialist Bloom AI to help small and midsize companies adopt artificial intelligence (AI)-based call centers.
The two companies plan to link LG Uplus' telecom infrastructure and AI contact center (AICC) technology with Bloom AI's consulting platform and customer management solutions to boost consultation automation and customer response efficiency. The signing ceremony was held on the 23rd at LG Uplus' Yongsan headquarters in Seoul, with Enterprise Division Head Kwon Yong-hyun of LG Uplus and Co-CEO Park Jin-Young of Bloom AI in attendance.
Bloom AI provides services such as Happytalk, Callbridge, Luna M Kakao Alimtalk, and Smart Message PLUS to about 40,000 small and midsize client companies. LG Uplus plans to integrate AI features such as speech recognition, large language models, and Text-to-Speech (TTS) into these services so corporations can use consultation, customer management, and marketing functions in an integrated way without building separate systems.
The collaboration targets small and midsize companies that have felt burdened about adopting AICC due to setup expense and a lack of experts. The two companies will also expand cooperation in customer communications by connecting LG Uplus' next-generation messaging service RCS to Bloom AI's Smart Message PLUS.
LG Uplus will strengthen security and stability based on a sovereign cloud and plans to further advance customized AI services by using LG AI Research Institute's Generative AI "EXAONE" and the enterprise AI platform "AIX Enterprise."
