Kakao will take part in the "2026 public AI industry expo," held at Kintex in Goyang, Gyeonggi, from the 23rd to the 24th, and unveil public- and daily life–focused services that use its in-house artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the event introduces AI technologies and services applicable to the public sector.
Kakao prepared an interactive booth under the theme "A Day with Kanana," allowing visitors to experience agentic AI services firsthand. The booth operates across five zones, including a space that introduces a briefing feature that summarizes key points based on KakaoTalk conversation context and a "Seontok" feature that proactively proposes information and content users need. There is also a space to experience "Kakao Tools," which consolidates services inside and outside Kakao, and features that summarize chat and call content.
A pilot service introduced in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS), "AI Gukmin Secretary," is also a key exhibit. Users can experience the process of reserving public facilities, issuing electronic certificates, submitting them to institutions, and checking certificates stored in an electronic wallet within KakaoTalk. A voice use feature was recently added.
Kakao is also introducing its in-house AI safety model "Kanana Safeguard," specialized for detecting harmful Korean-language content and risky requests. It also operates a photo booth using its in-house AI model lineup "Kanana" and the image generation model "Kanana Collage," allowing visitors to create a Kakao Friends character "Jjo-rdi" ID card.
Kakao plans to use this exhibition to broaden the intersection of public services and AI technology and expand collaborations that improve the convenience of people's daily lives.
