Samsung Electronics is accelerating its push into the global HVAC market by supplying a large number of high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions to an ultra-premium residential complex in India.
Samsung Electronics said on the 22nd that it will supply HVAC solutions to The Orchard complex being built in Gurugram, the heart of India's IT industry, in collaboration with Central Park, one of India's major real estate development corporations.
The project is a large-scale initiative to apply Samsung Electronics' residential system air conditioner HVAC solutions to more than 3,000 units across 300 households, with full move-ins set to begin early next year.
For this project, Samsung Electronics will supply a large number of high-efficiency products that combine the DVM S2, a large system air conditioner outdoor unit that connects multiple indoor units to a single outdoor unit, with the WindFree 1Way ceiling cassette for homes.
Gurugram is a representative industrial hub where many of India's leading startups and global IT corporations have entered. It has a dense high-income population, and with summer highs topping 45 degrees, demand is strong for high-performance, high-efficiency HVAC solutions.
With this supply, Samsung Electronics will expand its HVAC business, which has focused on commercial buildings such as large offices and shopping malls, into the premium residential market.
At the same time, the strategy is to strengthen its position as a supplier of artificial intelligence (AI) home solutions in India and other global markets.
Im Seong-taek, executive vice president of the DA Division at Samsung Electronics, said, "We will further cement our leadership in the global premium residential market through Samsung Electronics' unrivaled HVAC technology competitiveness and locally tailored lifestyle solutions."
As the global HVAC market grows, domestic home appliance corporations are winning large residential complex projects around the world in rapid succession.
