Adobe said on the 19th that it has expanded its artificial intelligence (AI) image generation tool Firefly into Creative AI Studio, which supports everything from idea development to content production, editing and distribution. It also broadened the use of AI Assistant (agent).
When users describe the desired outcome in everyday language, the AI agent autonomously carries out multiple steps, including creating brand kits, generating product promo videos, drafting video edits and producing storyboards. Adobe said creators can hand off complex, repetitive tasks to the agent and focus on the skills, taste and judgment that determine a work's originality.
Firefly's AI agent integrates professional-grade tools into a single conversational interface. When users describe brand style, brand name and color palette in natural language, the agent creates a brand kit consisting of a logo, brand identity and color palette. It can produce high-quality cinematic short-form videos from a few photos or generate videos based on a storyboard.
The company is also introducing AI agents to Photoshop, as well as Illustrator, InDesign and Frame.io.
AI Agent is currently available as a private beta in After Effects. Adobe said, "To broadly support workflows related to photography, video and motion design, we plan to expand agentic features to other Creative Cloud apps going forward."
David Wadhwani, president of Adobe's Digital Media business, said, "Now every creator can use agents to focus on the role of director in the creative process."
