Microsoft said on the 18th that it is officially launching Copilot CoWork.
Copilot CoWork operated in preview for 3 months and is now officially launched. More than half of the Fortune 500 corporations are using Copilot CoWork. Accenture, Avanade, Capital Group, and Zurich Insurance are representative corporations using it.
While the existing Copilot provided results at the level of drafts or recommendations, Copilot CoWork differentiates itself by using multiple tools to perform tasks directly and deliver finished outputs.
▲ Cloud-hosted execution that keeps tasks running even when the device in use is powered off ▲ Work IQ that reflects business context ▲ Security that conforms to existing organizational policies ▲ Multi-model design ▲ A pricing structure that reflects actual usage.
Copilot CoWork runs on Anthropic's Opus 4.8 and Sonnet 4.6. In the preview environment, OpenAI's GPT 5.5 can also be used.
Copilot CoWork offers two payment options: a pay-as-you-go PayGo model and P3, which provides discounts in exchange for a pre-committed usage amount. The PayGo price is $0.01 per Copilot credit.
Microsoft improved the application (app) switching feature for the official launch. It enabled immediate switching from chat in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app to Copilot CoWork. It also expanded plugin support. It added nine new plugins and plans to add eight more plugins.
