LG's open innovation platform Superstart will take part in Asia's largest startup fair, NextRise 2026, Seoul, held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, from June 18 to 19.
At this event, LG will run a joint booth exhibition with the startups it is nurturing and support the expansion of investment attraction and business collaboration opportunities for the corporations it is nurturing. At the same time, it will introduce LG's open innovation strategy and key results to the external ecosystem.
Marking its eighth year, NextRise 2026, Seoul is set to be held on the largest scale ever. Alongside booths from more than 530 startups and 23 global corporations and related organizations, more than 150 large and mid-sized corporations at home and abroad and more than 120 venture capital firms (VCs) will take part in 1:1 business meetups (business collaboration and investment consultation meetings) with startups.
Superstart is a startup discovery and nurturing platform run by LG that has supported the growth of promising startups and linked them with collaboration opportunities with LG. Participation in this event is intended to share the results of open innovation so far and further expand points of contact with the external ecosystem.
At the LG Superstart booth, 10 innovative startups that are growing in robots, physical AI, AI infrastructure, cleantech, and life will join. Starting with Mangoboost, which provides a full-stack AI infrastructure optimization solution, Blue Carbon, ACROMET, A&Poly, APLLA, and Faraday Dynamics will take part in the joint exhibition. In addition, corporations selected for Superstart Rookie, a youth entrepreneurship support program newly introduced this year—GROONOUI, MOTOMIND, and Aaeo (Potion)—will also be presented.
In particular, LG Superstart will set up a special space section in the booth for the space special exhibition Space Frontier. This special exhibition is organized with the country's only space exploration rover specialist startup, Unmanned Exploration Institute, and will unveil a concept space exploration rover jointly developed by LG and Unmanned Exploration Institute to pioneer the New Space era together. Also on display will be the COSMIC secondary payload cubesat that took part in the fourth launch of Nuri with LG components onboard, as well as space components developed by Unmanned Exploration Institute.
At 2 p.m. on the 18th, the first day of the event, the fifth cohort corporations of Superstart Incubator will be unveiled for the first time. The new corporations will be selected after reviews and internal evaluations by relevant departments of LG affiliates following SUPERSTART Day on Apr. 22. With the announcement, they plan to embark on full-fledged collaboration with LG, starting with the signing of MOUs for mutual cooperation.
Yang Seung-jin, Head of Team at LG Sciencepark Superstart, said, "The future is not a possibility we look at alone, but a change we create together," adding, "Superstart will consolidate startups' boldness and execution into practical collaboration with LG to create innovations that open new lives for customers."
