Samsung Electronics will release the midrange 5G smartphone Galaxy A37 5G in Korea on the 19th, highlighting artificial intelligence (AI) features and a large-screen experience.
The Galaxy A37 5G features a 170.1 mm (6.7-inch) FHD+ Super AMOLED display with up to a 120 Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals for watching videos and playing games. It comes in three colors: Awesome Lavender, Awesome White and Awesome Charcoal, and is priced at 598,400 won. It will be available at Samsung stores nationwide, on Samsung.com and at mobile carriers' online and offline stores.
The camera setup is a triple array with a 50-megapixel wide, 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 5-megapixel macro. The wide camera uses a 1.0-micrometer (μm) pixel sensor to support bright, clear shots even in low light. It also includes optical image stabilization (OIS) to capture sharper photos and videos.
Usability has also been strengthened. It packs a 5,000 mAh battery and supports Super Fast Charging 2.0, reaching up to 60% in 30 minutes. The water and dust resistance rating has been upgraded from the previous model to IP68.
The Galaxy A37 5G includes Awesome Intelligence, a Galaxy A-series exclusive mobile AI. AI Eraser removes unwanted subjects from photos, and the Edit Suggestions feature recommends resolution enhancement and shadow removal. The text conversion function that turns recorded voices into text can be used to organize meeting, lecture and call details. It also supports up to six OS upgrades and up to six years of security updates.
Samsung Electronics said at the global unveiling that the Galaxy A37 5G comes with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 and is engineered at 162.9×78.2×7.4 mm and 196 g. A 12-megapixel front camera is included.
Samsung Electronics will offer a two-month Welaa subscription to customers who purchase and activate by Sept. 30. Until the 5th of next month, eligible buyers will receive a 20% rebate of the purchase amount in the form of a digital Onnuri gift certificate.
