Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA) said it will recruit trainees for the first cohort of the "AWS AI Campus" in partnership with global artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud corporations Amazon Web Services (AWS).

AI Campus is a training program created to cultivate practical talent in the AI field with support from the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL). It is offered to job seekers eligible for the National Tomorrow Learning Card, and corporations with AI expertise and training institutions jointly design and run the curriculum.

AWS AI Campus is structured to enable trainees to develop AI services themselves and gain experience designing and operating AI solutions suitable for corporate environments through AWS-based Generative AI labs and project training. Through AWS-authorized training, trainees will also experience practical processes such as implementing AI features, deploying services, and automating operations using key fully managed Generative AI services including Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, and AWS Lambda.

In addition, trainees will gain experience designing, generating, and improving code using various AI development tools such as Claude Code based on Amazon Bedrock, and learn development methods that collaborate with AI and ways to improve work productivity.

During the project period, mentoring by AWS on-the-job engineers will also be provided. Trainees will carry out team projects, receive feedback based on practical experience on service planning, AI feature implementation, architecture design, and problem solving, and build practical portfolios that can be linked to employment.

The first cohort will operate as two tracks: the AWS full-stack AI app developer training course (July 20, 2026–Feb. 2, 2027) and the AWS AI solutions architect training course (Aug. 3, 2026–Feb. 18, 2027). A total of 56 trainees, 28 per track, will be selected, and training will take place at the RAPA Gasan DX Campus classrooms.

The AWS full-stack AI app developer training course cultivates web and app developers who utilize AI features. Trainees learn the full scope of web development, including frontend, backend, and API integration, and directly implement services that incorporate Generative AI features to strengthen their capabilities as AI service developers.

The AWS AI solutions architect training course cultivates AI solutions architects with capabilities in AI service architecture design and system construction and operation. Trainees learn core technologies needed to implement AI solutions, including LLM, RAG, AI agents, and MLOps, and strengthen their ability to design AI solutions applicable to corporate environments.

Each track runs for a total of 1,080 hours over about six and a half months, and tuition is fully covered with no out-of-pocket cost for trainees. Trainees will receive support such as training incentives, access to AWS Skill Builder, use of AI development tools, and an AWS cloud practice environment.

A Korea Radio Promotion Association official said, "AWS AI Campus is a hands-on training program that goes beyond learning AI theory to directly implementing real AI services through labs and projects using AWS's Generative AI and cloud services," adding, "We will systematically provide education, projects, mentoring, and employment support so trainees can grow into AI service developers and AI solutions architects."
