On the 16th, SK AX held the Imagine AX 2026 conference at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas hotel and shared cases of AI transformation in corporations' work and operations using agentic artificial intelligence (AI).
At the event, held under the theme Beyond AI: the more agentic enterprise (from corporations adopting AI to corporations where AI works), SK AX introduced its experience of innovating companywide work and operations with AI. SK AX named its agentic AI-based digital transformation strategy Being AX (to exist with AX) and presented a vision to move beyond simple AI adoption to build a virtuous cycle in which the entire corporation grows through innovation of business models via AI and collaboration between people and AI.
The event also unveiled a successful AX strategy. It emphasized that it is important to set clear objectives and expected effects for AI adoption, and that it is essential to create an environment where work optimization can be achieved at the corporate level beyond individual use of AI. In addition, SK AX introduced a case in which it is improving work efficiency by linking and coordinating multiple AI agents through its own agentic AI platform, AxgenticWire.
In a keynote address, Kim Wan-jong, president of SK AX, said, "The competitiveness of corporations lies not in adopting better AI, but in creating new growth value through companywide optimization via AI," and noted, "Only by cultivating talent that can collaborate with AI and building an organizational culture and systems that support this can companywide integration and synergy through AI augmentation become possible."
The conference also shared collaboration cases with SK AX across various areas including manufacturing, semiconductors, finance and HR. OpenAI is advancing an AX innovation model with SK AX to improve work performance and investment efficiency, and with SK hynix it is working to maximize production yield by building an autonomous factory based on a Digital Twin. Shinhan Financial Group is also working with SK AX to flesh out a work innovation model based on one person, one finance agent.
Cha Ji-won, SK AX's CAIO (chief AI innovation officer), said, "The criterion for choosing technology is shifting from adoption itself to how to make AI work," and added, "For AI to produce results, not only corporations' internal data, systems and processes but also industry-specific domain knowledge must mesh precisely."
