Chabot Mobility said on the 15th it launched the "3D virtual showroom," a car dealership inside the Chabot Mobile app. It is a new car shopping service that lets users handle everything from browsing vehicles to estimates and consultations without visiting a showroom.
Kang Byung-hee, deputy CEO of Chabot Mobility, said, "The virtual showroom is an attempt to change not how we look at cars, but how we buy them." It was designed to go beyond the existing online display method of simply listing vehicle information, allowing users to examine and compare vehicles themselves and carry their decision-making through to purchase. In a virtual space within the app, users can view a vehicle's design and key options in three dimensions and receive estimates and consultations all at once.
The virtual showroom uses 3D graphics technology to run instantly in mobile environments without installing separate programs or streaming. Users can freely explore a vehicle's exterior and interior and intuitively compare desired specifications by tapping or clicking key items such as "trim," "exterior," "interior," and "options."
A company official said, "Because users can visually check major selectable options such as a panoramic sunroof, head-up display (HUD), and a convenience package, it offers an experience similar to examining an actual vehicle."
Chabot Mobility plans to use this service to reduce the inconvenience of information search and decision-making that arises during the car-buying process and to help users compare and choose vehicles more easily and intuitively.
The company intends to expand the virtual showroom as a new content- and technology-based business model. Starting with the Grandeur, it will sequentially introduce major imported and domestic models within the year and broaden its scope into a personalization business in which users directly configure their desired specifications.
