AhnLab moved to penetrate the Japanese market by showcasing security capabilities that span operational technology (OT) and IT at Japan's largest information technology (IT) exhibition.
AhnLab said it took part in Interop Tokyo 2026, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture from the 10th to the 12th, and introduced its integrated security capabilities, including a cyber-physical system (CPS) security platform, artificial intelligence (AI)-based threat intelligence, and a cloud security management solution.
Interop Tokyo is Japan's largest B2B IT exhibition that showcases the latest ICT technologies, including networks, AI, cloud, data centers, and security. As of last year, more than 500 corporations participated and about 150,000 visitors attended. This year's event also featured global IT and security corporations such as Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, and Cisco.
AhnLab joined the event with its Japan subsidiary and ran a booth under the theme "So the field never stops—proven security connecting IT and OT." At the event, AhnLab introduced the integrated CPS security platform "AhnLab CPS PLUS," the next-generation threat intelligence platform "AhnLab TIP," and the cloud-based security management solution for small and midsize businesses "V3 Security for Business," and conducted product demonstrations and business consultations.
About 2,000 people visited the AhnLab booth, including officials from major Japanese manufacturing, telecommunications, public institutions, and data center operators, and inquiries continued about security use cases in manufacturing and industrial environments, ways to protect OT environments, strategies for using threat intelligence, and security operations models suited to corporations of various sizes.
In particular, given the characteristics of the Japanese market, where manufacturing has a high share, interest centered on the CPS security platform "AhnLab CPS PLUS." The threat intelligence platform AhnLab TIP, which provides the latest threat trends and information on attack groups in Korea and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, also drew attention.
V3 Security for Business, which has been steadily supplied to the Japanese market, also drew interest from small and midsize business officials. Its strengths were presented as a cloud-based security environment and operational convenience that can integrate the management of diverse operating systems (OS) and devices without building separate servers.
Vincent Sang Kook Lee, Chief Growth Officer at AhnLab, said, "At this Interop Tokyo, we confirmed that Japanese customers are highly interested in AhnLab's broad, integrated security capabilities that connect IT and OT," and added, "Based on our accumulated threat response experience and AI-based security technologies, AhnLab will meet Japanese customers' security needs and continuously strengthen our local business centered on our Japan subsidiary."
