Hancom said on the 15th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with 7bulls, Poland's state-certified research and development (R&D) center, to launch joint research and development for the European localization of a next-generation sovereign agentic operating system (OS).
The agreement centers on tailoring Hancom's agentic OS to fit local conditions in Europe. Because regulations and work practices differ by country and industry in Europe, the two companies will analyze both the legacy information technology (IT) systems used by local corporations and customer demands and reflect them in Hancom's products. They will conduct joint research so that the agentic OS beta version to be unveiled in the second half works properly in the European environment.
Hancom's agentic OS is a system that builds agents to handle tasks within corporations and provides an integrated platform for the entire process of operation, including authentication, authorization management, data access, and execution. By securely linking external AI models with existing work systems, the company aims to help secure Data Sovereignty in public, finance, medical, and defense sectors where strong security is required.
Hancom also signed an MOU on the 19th of last month with Algomine, a Polish AI development company. The two companies plan to conduct a proof of concept (PoC) for the introduction of the agentic OS for on-premise (self-hosted server) customers in Poland's public institutional sector.
Hancom secured local talent to accelerate its European business results. Recently, it hired Director Victor Venegas Mendoza to lead European business development. Victor, a 17-year veteran, has led sales of enterprise software as a service (SaaS) and cybersecurity solutions in major European markets including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Hancom CEO Kim Yeon-su said, "Europe is a stage where Data Sovereignty and regulatory compliance are de facto entry requirements, and there is a gap that even global big tech struggles to fill," adding, "Hancom will seize that gap with our 36 years of accumulated unstructured data extraction and structuring technology and the competitiveness of our sovereign agentic OS."
