AI and data specialist UCLIX said on the 15th that it has hired President Kim Jeong-in and will strengthen its corporate artificial intelligence (AI) transformation consulting business.
Kim is a strategy expert who served as a partner at McKinsey & Company and a vice president at Hyundai Card. At McKinsey, Kim led corporations strategy, risk management, digital transformation, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) projects for Asian financial companies, private equity funds, and large corporations. After that, at Hyundai Card, Kim served as head of operations, chief strategy officer (CSO), and head of the card business division, leading business transformation, the build-out of digital businesses, operational innovation, and new business development. Kim currently serves as an outside director at SKC, taking part in key decisions such as reorganizing the business portfolio and financial structuring.
Going forward, Kim will oversee UCLIX's enterprise AI services business centered on the AI transformation brand "Aify." Aify is a brand that provides integrated support for AI strategy development, business innovation, organizational operations strategy, brand strategy, and building execution systems so that corporations can move beyond the mere introduction of AI technology to consolidation with management performance and organizational change.
UCLIX plans to combine its existing IT and AI capabilities with Kim's global consulting and corporations management experience to narrow the gap between strategy and execution that arises during clients' AI transformation. With the spread of Generative AI and agentic AI driving rising demand among corporations to adopt AI, the company aims to expand its business scope beyond technology adoption to overall management strategy, customer experience, and brand competitiveness.
Kim said, "AI is not just a tool for automating some tasks but a key driver that redefines corporations strategy and operating methods, as well as the customer experience," adding, "Centered on Aify, we will help corporations set the strategies needed for the AI era and carry them through to changes that can be executed in the field."
UCLIX is a business group reorganized based on Uclick's partner business, founded in 1999, and is developing an AI and cloud solutions business that connects global technology corporations with domestic clients.
