Dyson Korea said on the 11th it will release a new product with improved performance for the "Airwrap Coanda 2x multi-styler and dryer."
With the Hyperdymium2 hair motor spinning at up to 150,000 rpm—nine times faster than a Formula 1 car engine—it generates 7 kPa (kilopascals) of pressure and blows air that is twice as powerful as the previous model.
Upgraded from the product released last year, the `Airwrap Coanda2x comes in six components, including the newly designed Air Straightener 2x and the 40 mm Coanda2x curling long barrel, allowing wide-ranging use from hair drying to curl and straight styling with a single device.
It also applies smart styling nozzle technology with a built-in radio-frequency identification (RFID) sensor, enabling users to create styling routines with their preferred temperature and airflow speed.
Dyson Korea will run a trade-in "Switching Campaign" until the end of next month. Existing Dyson device owners with products such as vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, and hair devices can purchase the new product at a 10% discount without returning their current devices.
