Samsung Electronics said on the 11th it is recruiting participants for the "12th Student Programming Challenge" (SCPC).
Samsung Electronics has hosted SCPC every year since 2015 to expand the software ecosystem and discover outstanding talent.
This year, two categories will run simultaneously: "AI Challenge" and "Software Algorithm Challenge."
The AI Challenge evaluates participants' agentic AI development capabilities, and the Software Algorithm Challenge focuses on assessing capabilities in programming and solving hard algorithmic problems.
Any undergraduate or graduate student interested in programming can participate regardless of year or major.
Applications are accepted on the Samsung Research website from today through the 5th of next month.
All preliminary rounds of the challenge will be conducted online, and the finals are scheduled to be held at the Samsung Electronics Seoul R&D Campus.
Final winners of the challenge will receive prize money and preferential hiring benefits at Samsung Electronics. Since 2015, more than 40,000 undergraduates have participated in the Samsung Electronics Student Programming Challenge, which has produced a total of 393 awardees and contributed to fostering outstanding software talent.
