Samsung Electronics will fully introduce major Generative AI services from global big tech companies into in-house operations and officially launch an "AI transformation (AX·AI transformation)" to reorganize how the organization works around AI.
From the 12th, the DX division of Samsung Electronics will begin official operations of external Generative AI services for employees. The services covered are three: OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini Enterprise, and Anthropic's Claude. Adopting multiple platforms rather than a single service was a strategic decision to create an environment where employees can choose and use the optimal AI according to the nature and purpose of their work.
Samsung Electronics previously verified the effectiveness of candidate services with more than 2,500 employees, selected these three as the final choices, and has been preparing for their introduction. The company said it expects this move to lead to ▲ improved productivity ▲ innovation in ways of working ▲ faster decision-making ▲ and stronger organizational execution.
Roh Tae-Moon, president and CEO of Samsung Electronics, said, "Introducing external Generative AI is not merely about providing a work tool, but the starting point for fundamentally changing how we work and the speed of execution," and added, "We will raise execution across the organization beyond each employee's productivity and take the DX division's business competitiveness up a notch."
Going forward, Samsung Electronics plans to continuously advance service operation policies to reflect job and organizational characteristics and to accelerate its AX strategy to reorganize the entire organization's work methods around AI, moving beyond simple AI use.
