Krafton said on the 11th it will host the international esports tournament for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, "PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) 2026 in Seoul," on the 23rd. Backed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the tournament will feature 120 players from 24 countries.
PNC is a PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS national team tournament where top players from each country compete for the title. The survival stage will take place at PUBG Seongsu from the 23rd to the 24th of this month, followed by the grand final at Jangchung Arena from the 26th to the 28th.
Tickets for the first day of the grand final sold out in 10 minutes after sales began at 9 p.m. on the 5th. About 5,000 spectators are expected to attend over the three days of the grand final.
At the grand final venue, a fan zone featuring interactive programs such as a live talk show and fan meetings with popular influencers will be operated. On the 26th, the group "ALLDAY PROJECT" will also perform a halftime show. Meanwhile, ahead of the tournament, a user engagement event will be held at PUBG Seongsu from the 12th to the 14th.
Marking its 9th anniversary this year, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS has maintained steady growth, with peak concurrent users surpassing 1.3 million in March this year, following March last year. A Krafton official said, "As intellectual property (IP) with a long product life cycle (PLC), we will continue to enhance the competitiveness of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and pursue expansion beyond games into culture while broadening user touchpoints."
