Synology said on the 5th that it unveiled an artificial intelligence (AI)-based data management solution portfolio at Computex 2026.
At the event, Synology showcased the next-generation DiskStation Manager (DSM), ActiveProtect, video surveillance solutions, the Synology Office Suite, and the personal private cloud lineup "Bee series."
The newly unveiled next-generation DSM is designed on an architecture optimized for AI and enterprise environments. By enhancing support for GPU NAS and AI appliances, it enables AI inference and data governance in on-premises environments. In addition, the newly added "DSM Agent" focuses on workflow automation across the system and improving operational efficiency.
The integrated management solution "Cluster Manager" for large-scale infrastructure operations was also unveiled. Through this, workload migration, quality of service (QoS) control, and centralized data protection can be performed from a single interface. Active Insight adds large-scale deployment features to support system rollout in multi-site environments. Log Center also strengthens visibility to enhance security and compliance capabilities.
ActiveProtect Manager 2.0 expands its protection scope to Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2, Azure VM, Proxmox, Nutanix AHV, and Google Workspace. It supports cross-platform recovery across Hybrid Cloud and virtualization environments, and integrates AI-based anomaly and malware detection to establish a proactive threat response framework.
In video surveillance, the company introduced the new "AC100 Door Controller," "AR series readers," and DC series dome cameras. It also unveiled a Deep Video Analytics (DVA) appliance that supports AI-based semantic event search and re-identification path tracking.
The Synology Office Suite, a collaboration solution, adds the new services "ChatPlus" and "Meet." Along with granular permission management, the two services provide AI-based transcription and translation features. All data is stored on-premises so that corporations can manage it under their control.
The expanded BeeStation and BeeStation Plus lineup supports a variety of storage needs. BeeCamera integrates with Synology cameras to provide home monitoring features on BeeStation Plus.
Chair and CEO Philip Wong of Synology said, "From enterprise infrastructure to personal cloud solutions, every Synology product is designed to ensure users have complete control over their data," adding, "Based on strong security, reliability, and rigorous privacy protection, we will help customers confidently embrace the changes and opportunities ahead."
