Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang began a dinner meeting featuring samgyeopsal and soju with heads of Korea's leading conglomerates near Hongik Univ. Station in Mapo District, Seoul.
Huang, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin arrived at the barbecue restaurant in Seoul's Hongik Univ. area, the meeting venue, at about 7:10 p.m. Upon arrival, Huang said, "I'm hungry."
The four poured beer and made a toast inside the restaurant. The beer was "Terra," and the soju was "Chamisul." If they mix soju and beer, they would be drinking "Tesla (Terra + Chamisul)."
Chey also showed Huang how to eat samgyeopsal wrapped in perilla leaves. Following the tip, Huang made a wrap himself and took a big bite. The meat was grilled by the "youngest," Koo, who handled the tongs. At the table, Huang is doing most of the talking while the tycoons are listening.
During the meal, Huang stepped out of the restaurant and handed out food to bystanders. In Oct. last year at Kkanbu Chicken in Samseong-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, when he met Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Chairman Jung, he also engaged with citizens by sharing food.
