Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang will meet League of Legends (LoL) legend "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok as his first engagement in Korea.
According to the gaming industry on the 5th, after arriving in the afternoon, Huang plans to visit the PC café "T1 Basecamp" in downtown Seoul to meet the T1 League of Legends roster. T1 Basecamp is a PC café operated by esports club T1.
The event is expected to be attended by team captain Faker Lee Sang-hyeok, as well as Doran Choi Hyun-jun, Oner Moon Hyun-jun, Phaze Kim Su-hwan, and Keria Ryu Min-seok.
Huang is expected to exchange views with them on the direction of development for the esports industry and the broader gaming industry.
Huang has consistently shown interest in Korea's gaming industry and esports. During his visit last year, he chanted "Faker" on stage at the 25th anniversary event for GeForce's launch in Korea and said, "Without PC games, PC cafés, and esports, there would be no Nvidia as it is today."
After meeting the T1 roster, Huang was said to be planning a dinner gathering with key domestic corporations at a samgyeopsal restaurant near Hongdae Entrance in the evening.
The meeting is reportedly set to include SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin. They are expected to discuss cooperation plans in various fields, including Robotics, physical AI, and AI data centers.
