Nota, a corporations specializing in AI model lightening and optimization technologies, said on the 1st that it will advance its video control solution NVA based on Nvidia's Generative AI-based video search and summarization technology VSS.
NVA is a Generative AI video control solution that, based on a vision-language model (VLM), understands situations and context in video and supports controllers in searching, summarizing, and reporting needed information using natural language. Nvidia VSS provides core functions of Generative AI video control, such as video search, summarization, and Q&A, and is regarded as the technological foundation that enhances the performance and scalability of video AI agent solutions.
Nota plans to implement Generative AI video control functions tailored to customer-specific requirements by reflecting Nvidia's video AI technology trends in NVA. Through this, it aims to expand real-world applications such as traffic control and industrial safety.
A Nota official said, "By combining the multi-agent architecture of VSS 3.1 with NVA's on-site, customized configuration capabilities, we plan to advance NVA so that video data can be used as practical decision-making information in various fields including industrial safety, public safety, traffic control, and Smart City," adding, "Through this, we will reduce controllers' manual intervention and improve operational efficiency in the field."
Operational experience and data that Nota has accumulated in the field are shared with the Nvidia VSS team.
In the traffic control field, Nota built NVA into the traffic control system operated by the Daejeon Regional Construction and Management Administration. It detects incidents such as accidents, fires, and obstacles on roads in real time through roadside CCTVs. It also automatically summarizes and delivers lane-by-lane traffic information and response status for incidents. In the industrial safety field, Nota applied NVA to the Kolon Industries Gimcheon Plant 2 in collaboration with Kolon Benit.
Chae Myeong-su, CEO of Nota, said, "The video control market is rapidly shifting beyond simple object detection to video AI agents based on Generative AI that understand situations in video and search, summarize, and report necessary information," adding, "Nota will continue to advance NVA based on Nvidia VSS to fit customer environments, and, as in the Daejeon Regional Construction and Management Administration and Kolon Benit industrial safety cases, we will expand proven, real-world applications to grow the global video AI agent market together with Nvidia."
