LG Display said on the 1st it will hold a "gaming OLED roadshow" in Taipei, Taiwan, from the 4th to the 10th. The event will invite more than 20 global gaming monitor corporations to demonstrate the latest OLED technology firsthand and discuss future collaboration.
The core of the event is the unveiling of the industry's largest lineup of gaming OLEDs. With a wide range of products from the 20-inch class to the 40-inch class, the company will highlight the world's only mass-produced 39-inch "5K2K" panel. The product combines a 21:9 aspect ratio with a maximum 1500R curvature design to deliver extreme immersion in racing and simulation games.
The "RGB stripe OLED," which arranges RGB subpixels in a uniform size in a single row, also draws attention. With narrow and consistent pixel pitch, it renders sharp text up close without color fringing, and its 240Hz high refresh rate makes it optimized for both gaming and document work.
The next-generation technology roadmap will also be unveiled. It will introduce panels that reach the VESA True Black 1000 standard with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, a 27-inch 5K OLED with 220 PPI, and "DFR 2.0," a technology that lets users switch directly between ultra-high refresh rate and ultra-high resolution modes.
LG Display has rapidly expanded its influence, securing more than 10 key clients in about two years since entering the monitor OLED market in 2022. With industry-leading OLED panel performance in refresh rate, response time, and resolution, as well as reflectance (0.3%), the company is expected to further accelerate its share gains in the fast-growing high-end gaming monitor market.
