Computex 2026, Asia's largest information technology (IT) exhibition held in Taipei, Taiwan, will open on the 2nd of next month. The event, themed artificial intelligence (AI), will draw a large turnout of "tech big shots (heavyweights)" leading global semiconductor and IT corporations, including Nvidia, Qualcomm, Arm, and Intel.
According to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taipei Computer Association (TCA) on the 31st, Computex 2026 will run from the 2nd to the 5th of next month at Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2 in Taipei, Taiwan, Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Hall 1, and Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). This year's theme is "AI Together."
This year's Computex will feature 1,500 corporations from 33 countries operating 6,000 booths. The core exhibition areas are AI and computing, Robotics and mobility, and next-generation technologies. Once focused on PCs and peripherals, Computex has recently broadened its scope to AI servers, data centers, semiconductor supply chains, and robots.
The main schedule begins on the 1st of next month, the day before the official opening. Cristiano Amon, Qualcomm chief executive officer (CEO), will deliver the Computex opening keynote at Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2. Qualcomm is expected to present its agentic AI and computing strategy in the keynote.
Jensen Huang, Nvidia chief executive officer (CEO), will also deliver a keynote at "GTC Taipei 2026," held the same day at Taipei Music Center. He is expected to introduce next-generation AI, Robotics, and accelerated computing technologies.
Chey Tae-won, SK Group chairman, is also reported to attend the GTC Taipei keynote. A dinner following GTC Taipei 2026 is said to include CEO Huang and key domestic corporations' officials. Companies mentioned as attending include Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, Hyundai Motor Group, LG Electronics, Doosan, and Naver.
CEO Huang is currently in Taiwan to attend events such as the groundbreaking ceremony for Nvidia's Taiwan headquarters. Locally, attention is on whether Nvidia will unveil next-generation AI Semiconductor and AI infrastructure strategies in the GTC Taipei keynote.
On opening day, presentations by CEOs of major semiconductor corporations will follow. ▲ Matt Murphy, Marvell CEO ▲ Rene Haas, Arm CEO ▲ Lip-Bu Tan, Intel CEO ▲ Rafael Sotomayor, NXP CEO are slated to speak.
On the second day of the opening, Nvidia plans to hold a briefing for global media. Interest is growing in the domestic market over whether mentions will be made of next-generation AI accelerators and high bandwidth memory (HBM). Samsung Electronics said on the 29th that it began shipping samples of seventh-generation high bandwidth memory (HBM4E), cited as a candidate memory for Nvidia's next-generation AI accelerators.
Korean corporations will also participate in Computex. Based on the official list of Computex participants, there are 39 Korean companies. SK hynix will set up a booth in Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 to showcase DRAM and NAND memory solutions for AI, data centers, automobiles, PCs, and mobile devices. Samsung Electronics also made the official Computex participant list.
Samsung Display will unveil a 31.5-inch 4K, 360 Hz quantum-dot organic light-emitting diode (QD-OLED) panel for monitors at Computex for the first time. Among monitor QD-OLEDs, this product achieves both 4K resolution and a 360 Hz refresh rate.
Semiconductor equipment corporation HANMI Semiconductor will also participate in Computex. HANMI Semiconductor will exhibit a wide TC bonder for HBM production. The wide TC bonder is equipment used in producing wide HBM, which expands the DRAM die area, and is back-end equipment that supports high-capacity, high-speed data processing.
This year's Computex will also strengthen robotics-related exhibits. TAITRA and TCA will newly operate a Robotics Zone and a Tech Experience Zone in TWTC Hall 1. Intel, Texas Instruments Incorporated, Solomon, and E Ink will participate to showcase AI robotics, machine vision, embedded systems, and smart application technologies.
After completing key GTC Taipei events, CEO Huang is reportedly set to visit Korea. It is said to be the first visit in about seven months since attending the APEC CEO Summit in Gyeongju last October, and Huang plans to spend a vacation with family.
