AI Semiconductor startup Boss Semiconductor has stepped up hiring of key talent from the global chip industry to strengthen its technological competitiveness and business capabilities.
Boss Semiconductor said on the 29th that it appointed Hong Hao, who has more than 30 years of experience in chip design and foundry businesses, as a strategic adviser.
Until recently, Hong Hao served as executive vice president of Intel's foundry business unit, overseeing global customer partnerships and business development. Previously, Hong led Samsung Electronics' North America foundry business, driving business strategy, marketing, customer engineering, and foundry ecosystem building, and at Samsung's System LSI division, he led development of ARM-based system-on-chips (SoCs) for mobile and data centers.
Boss Semiconductor expects Hong Hao's global foundry business experience and customer network to contribute to formulating its next-generation AI Semiconductor strategy and expanding overseas operations.
Chae Jeong-seok, vice president and head of strategic marketing at Boss Semiconductor, said, "Hong Hao is an expert with extensive experience in global foundry business strategy and advanced chip development," adding, "Based on a deep understanding of global customers and the semiconductor ecosystem, he will help strengthen Boss Semiconductor's AI Semiconductor competitiveness and expand its global business."
