NC said on the 29th that its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Lineage2M will begin service in China on the 24th of next month in partnership with Tencent Games.
The Chinese service name of Lineage2M is "Heaven 2: Covenant (天堂2: 盟约)." Tencent Games supports cross-play that allows play across mobile and PC platforms.
NC and Tencent Games conducted a closed beta test (CBT) with about 50,000 participants ahead of the official launch. The two companies are carrying out localization work by reflecting user feedback collected during the test, including improvements to the user interface and experience (UI/UX), an overhaul of party dungeons, and the addition of a character customization feature called "social appearance."
Pre-registrations for Lineage2M in China have surpassed 4.95 million.
Various user events will also run until launch. Chinese users can take part in the offline pop-up "Aden Throne Parade" and the TikTok-based event "Return of the Lord." A special video commemorating the launch of Lineage2M, "Memories of the Covenant," will also be released sequentially.
