Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang is expected to visit Korea next week. It will be his first trip to Korea in about seven months since attending the APEC CEO Summit in Gyeongju in Oct. last year.
According to the semiconductor and information technology (IT) industries on the 28th, Huang is expected to visit Korea after wrapping up key events at Nvidia's annual artificial intelligence (AI) conference, "GPU Technology Conference (GTC) Taipei 2026," to be held in Taipei, Taiwan, next week. GTC Taipei runs from July 1 to 4. On the first day's keynote, Huang is scheduled to introduce Nvidia's next-generation AI Semiconductor and AI infrastructure strategy.
In the industry, there is talk that Huang's visit could lead to discussions on cooperation with domestic semiconductor corporations such as Samsung Electronics and SK hynix in areas including high-bandwidth memory (HBM), next-generation AI accelerators, and foundry (contract chip manufacturing). During this visit, Huang is also expected to discuss AI cooperation across industries—such as cloud and physical AI—not only with semiconductor players but also with major IT corporations including LG and Naver.
Previously, Huang visited Korea in late Oct. last year on the occasion of the APEC leaders' meeting in Gyeongju. At that time, he drew attention at home and abroad by holding the so-called "kkanbu meeting" with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun. Huang's visit then was his first in 15 years since 2010.
