KT said on the 26th it will roll out the "Tving daily subscription pack," a subscription product that adds everyday coupons to the online video service (OTT) Tving. By adding Tving to its lineup of daily subscription products, which has centered on YouTube Premium and Disney+, it is expanding its content subscription offerings.
The Tving daily subscription pack combines an OTT pass with a monthly selectable everyday benefit. Customers can choose one from a GS25 4,000-won voucher, an Asung Daiso Co. 4,000-won voucher, an Olive Young 4,000-won voucher, one Kakao Emoticon Plus item, or a Snow VIP 1-month pass.
The product comes in three types: Tving basic, standard, and premium daily subscription packs. KT's subscription prices are 11,500 won, 15,500 won, and 19,000 won per month, respectively. They are set 2,000 won lower than the regular price.
To mark the launch, KT is also running an additional discount promotion through the end of the year. During the event period, the three products will be available at prices 2,000 won lower than KT's subscription prices. In addition, through the end of next month, customers who newly subscribe via KT's official website and app will receive a 2,000-won Naver Pay point voucher. For some customers who sign up at offline stores, a limited quantity of goods for Tving's new content "Become a Legend in the Mess Hall" will also be offered.
In the telecom industry, there is a continuing trend of carriers expanding products that bundle content with everyday benefits to retain consumers burdened by rising OTT subscription fees. KT is likewise seen as expanding partnership options by adding Tving and pursuing a strategy to strengthen perceived benefits for its telecom customers.
Kang I-hwan, head of KT Customer Service Division (executive director), said, "This product enhances customer satisfaction by combining content usage experiences with everyday benefits," and added, "We will expand subscription services that deliver real value to customers' daily lives based on diverse partnerships and differentiated benefits."
