MegazoneCloud and Sungkonghoe University held a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on "cultivating future digital innovation talent" that day at the Megazone Industry-Academia-Research Center in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi. The ceremony was attended by Sungkonghoe University President Kim Kyung-moon and MegazoneCloud Chair Lee Ju-wan, among other key officials from both sides.
The agreement was pursued to train practice-oriented talent needed in the era of digital transformation by linking Sungkonghoe University's education and research capabilities with MegazoneCloud's technology capabilities in AI and cloud. The two institutions will continue cooperation in various areas, including joint research in AI, cloud, and big data; development of industry demand-based curricula; operation of on-site training and internship programs; and digital projects connected to the local community.
To that end, MegazoneCloud will support the development of educational content and provide technical consulting based on its technological capabilities and project execution experience in AI and cloud. It also plans to cooperate so that students can experience AI and cloud technologies used in actual corporations and the process of carrying out projects through on-site training and internship programs.
Sungkonghoe University is responsible for developing curricula in digital innovation fields such as AI, cloud, and big data. It also plans to identify joint research projects based on the university's education and research infrastructure and promote digital projects linked to solving local community issues.
MegazoneCloud Chair Lee Ju-wan said, "As AI is rapidly changing work methods and service structures across industries, the importance of practice-oriented talent who can apply AI technology in real-world settings is growing even more," adding, "Together with Sungkonghoe University, we will naturally expand AI utilization experience into the curriculum and create a cooperation model that enables students to practically build the AI competencies required in the industry."
Sungkonghoe University President Kim Kyung-moon said, "This agreement will be an important opportunity for students to practically experience and research future digital technologies," adding, "Based on the university's education and research infrastructure, we will strengthen students' practical capabilities through curricula that reflect industry needs and field-centered learning."
