Cybersecurity company Softcamp said on the 19th that it showcased its key artificial intelligence (AI) and software as a service (SaaS) security solutions at Local Government/Public Week 2026, held in Tokyo, Japan, from the 13th to the 15th.
Softcamp set up a dedicated booth at this Local Government DX Expo under the theme of "ways for public institutions and local governments to use AI and SaaS safely," and participated jointly with local partner NetOne Systems.
Softcamp analyzed that, as digital transformation (DX) spreads in Japan's public and local government market, demand for adopting AI and SaaS is increasing, but the market faces challenges from a network separation environment similar to Korea's and strict security policies.
At the exhibition, Softcamp introduced the zero-trust-based web isolation (RBI) security service SHIELD Gate, which helps safely use external AI and SaaS; the cloud account management service SHIELD ID, which enables access to AI and SaaS through strong user authentication even in environments where BYOD (use of personal devices for work) is prohibited; and the cloud document security orchestration SHIELD DRM, which automatically maintains Microsoft Information Protection (MIP)—the data security labeling and encryption required in cloud environments such as Microsoft 365—without user intervention.
Bae Hwan-guk, CEO of Softcamp, said, "At this exhibition, we proved that we can practically overcome the security barriers facing Japan's public and local government market with Softcamp's technology," adding, "We will continue to strengthen cooperation with leading local companies and accelerate our push into Japan's public market."
