T Map Mobility said on the 19th that it launched the "Where to go while driving" service, which automatically recommends popular places to visit around a navigation route.
By tapping the dedicated icon on the navigation screen, restaurants, cafes, and drive-thru stores near the current route are automatically recommended without any additional searches. Recommended places are shown on the map with ratings based on the driving route. They are displayed using the "T Map ranking," which reflects actual visit popularity.
When you select a recommended place, information such as business hours, parking, and visitor reviews appears at the bottom along with a representative image. You can add a stopover or change the destination with a single tap, and if an immediate visit is difficult, you can also save the place.
Jeon Chang-geun, T Map Mobility chief product officer (CPO), said, "To improve the convenience of using place recommendations, we expanded the features so the personalized place recommendation service 'Where to go' can be used from the pre-trip search stage to situations while driving."
