Nexon said on the 18th that it will roll out a "Naver login member" switch event and CHZZK's "N-Connect" project.
A "Naver login member" is an account that lets users sign in to Nexon with a Naver ID and pay with Naver Pay (Npay). Nexon users age 14 and older who have completed identity verification can easily switch their existing account to a Naver ID. Even after changing to a "Naver login member," existing game play records remain intact, and payments within Nexon will be made through Naver Pay.
The two companies will also introduce the "N-Connect (N-CONNECT)" project to boost production of broadcast content based on Nexon intellectual property (IP) through CHZZK, Naver's live streaming platform.
"N-Connect" is a project that links users, creators and games. Through a three-pillar reward structure—activity, growth and impact—it offers special benefits that reflect CHZZK broadcasting activity and viewer participation. It will also run a "content support center" to help creators produce Nexon game-related content.
Based on "N-Connect," Nexon plans to actively support the production and broadcasting of Nexon game-based content by CHZZK partner, pro and rookie streamers. A company official said, "We will keep advancing our collaboration structure so users can naturally move from watching their favorite streamers to playing games." CHZZK "N-Connect" will run as a preseason through Sept. 22, with the regular season set to begin in Oct.
A Nexon official said, "Starting with this collaboration, the two companies will strengthen user data links, organically combine Nexon game IP with Naver's various services, and provide users with personalized content and a more expansive game experience."
Through July 20, Nexon will offer users who switch their login account to a Naver ID the benefit of choosing and receiving one coupon pack for a desired title among Nexon games such as "DUNGEON & FIGHTER," "MapleStory" and "Mabinogi Mobile."
