Tmap Mobility unveiled the real-time road information sharing feature "Social report" on the 15th.
"Social report" is a feature that lets drivers directly share road conditions with other drivers in real time. When you tap the "Report" button on the screen while driving, you can share information on road conditions you spot on the road, such as accidents, road closures, construction, hazards/obstacles, and speed cameras.
A Tmap official said the user interface (UI) is designed not to interfere with driving, making it safe. Because report information is displayed only at the necessary moments along the route, drivers can stay focused without unnecessary information.
Tmap said it improved the accuracy and reliability of report information through a user-participatory verification structure. Drivers passing the reported location can participate by responding "It's there," "It's not there," or "It's been handled," and they can also leave a "It helped" reaction after checking another driver's report. The system is designed to automatically close the information if there is no update for a certain period or if a closure report is received.
In addition, in "Driving report management" under the My tab, you can view in real time the status of reports and reactions such as views and likes.
