Currently, "Goddess of Victory: Nikke" ranks 18th by cumulative revenue among all subculture mobile games. Sensor Tower noted, "Despite being a relatively recent release, 'Goddess of Victory: Nikke' shows that it has built a stable, long-term hit structure based on live-service operations and character-centric content."
"Goddess of Victory: Nikke" returned to No. 1 in revenue in key markets such as Korea and Japan starting with its 3.5-year anniversary event. In Korea, it ranked No. 1 in revenue from Apr. 23 to 26, then returned to the top from Apr. 28 to 30. The figures combine estimated revenue from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
In Japan as well, it held the top revenue spot for five straight days from Apr. 30 to May 4 and has maintained a strong position near the top.
"Goddess of Victory: Nikke" is also a flagship intellectual property (IP) that drives SHIFT UP's performance. SHIFT UP's first-quarter revenue was 47.3 billion won, up 12% from a year earlier. By IP, "Goddess of Victory: Nikke" recorded 32.7 billion won and "Stellar Blade" 12.9 billion won. In a recent earnings release, SHIFT UP said it is enhancing in-game content for its flagship title "Goddess of Victory: Nikke" and expanding related IP businesses to further develop its life cycle.
SHIFT UP's first-quarter operating profit was 21.5 billion won, down 18.1% from a year earlier. The company said profitability deteriorated due to increased new title development expense.
