LG Electronics said on the 14th it supplied large LED signage to the new terminal at Frankfurt Airport in Germany.
LG Electronics completed supplying commercial display products, including large LED signage, to Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport in Germany, which opened at the end of April. The large LED signage supplied by LG Electronics, totaling 115m², was installed at the "Market Place" in the center of Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport.
Frankfurt Airport is the busiest airport in Germany and is considered a key hub for European transport. The company said, "At airports where travelers come and go day and night, stable 24-hour display operation is critical," and added, "As the superior quality of our commercial displays is recognized, we are being chosen by major airports worldwide."
The LED signage supplied by LG Electronics this time uses components commonly used in facilities such as factories where safety is paramount and is designed to slow the spread of fire in the event of an outbreak. It also meets VdS 6024, Europe's fire safety standard for electrical and electronic equipment, and CE-LVD/EMC, the safety and electromagnetic compatibility regulations.
Providing a wide viewing angle is also cited as an advantage. It allows travelers to see various information clearly from multiple angles. With high visibility and excellent image quality, it also supports displaying a variety of content such as advertising videos or introductions to the culture of the host country.
LG Electronics has won and supplied commercial displays to major airports not only in Europe, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Hungary, but also in Korea, the United States, Argentina, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). LG Electronics has expanded its commercial display lineup with ultra-high-definition signage such as "LG MAGNIT." Last year, it applied its in-house security system, "LG Shield," to its standard signage products (UH5Q/UH7Q).
Min Dong-seon, head of the ID Business Division of the MS Business Headquarters at LG Electronics, said, "We will solidify our leadership in the global commercial display market with customized solutions specialized for spaces where stable operation and maintenance are vital, including airports."
