Artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure corporations Ellis Group said on the 12th it was selected as an operating agency for the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL)-led "K-Digital Training (KDT) AI Campus" program.
KDT AI Campus is a government program launched to train 10,000 on-the-job engineers for key AI roles in response to surging demand for AI talent, with about 130 billion won in funding.
With this selection, Ellis Group will move to train hands-on talent. As part of that, it will run three programs this year focused on the AI core engineer and AI application developer tracks. Trainees will directly carry out on-the-job AX (AI transformation) projects such as process optimization and quality prediction.
The differentiator of this program is Ellis Group's proprietary high-performance AI infrastructure, "Ellis Cloud," the company emphasized. An Ellis Group official said, "Trainees will handle large-scale data processing and complex AI model development in a high-performance graphics processing unit (GPU) environment that is hard to access for individual learning, and through this, they can strengthen their technical capabilities by experiencing an environment similar to real corporations' development processes."
Ellis Group has operated the "Ellis Track (K-Digital Training)" boot camp for developer job seekers since 2020.
Kim Jae-won, CEO of Ellis Group, said, "By combining Ellis Group's education and practice platform, high-performance cloud infrastructure, and industry-specific AI project experience, we will build Korea's top-tier, practice-oriented AI talent training model."
