LG Electronics said on the 12th that it recently carried out a social contribution activity in Nigeria to support free laundry facilities.
LG Electronics supported the establishment of drinking water facilities, which drill underground water with solar energy, filter it, and supply clean water, along with a mobile free laundry room stocked with washing machines, dryers, and laundry supplies, in the Aba area of Abia state and the Owerri area of Imo state in Nigeria.
Since 2017, LG Electronics has been conducting a community-based social contribution program in Nigeria that operates free laundry rooms for residents in underserved areas. Some residents of the Aba area have to walk long distances to obtain clean water.
LG Electronics planned this campaign to deliver the value of its brand slogan, "Life's Good," by providing clean water and free laundry services to Nigerian residents who struggle to secure drinking water and do laundry. An LG Electronics official said, "We will take the lead in improving quality of life through community-based social contribution activities that can provide practical help to residents."
