Kwak Noh-jung, president of SK hynix, is set to meet in succession with key figures including Microsoft (MS) founder Bill Gates and CEO Satya Nadella.
According to the industry on the 12th, Kwak will attend the "MS CEO Summit 2026" held on the 12th (local time) at MS headquarters in Redmond, Washington. This is the second time after 2024.
The MS CEO Summit is a private event where MS invites CEOs of major corporations worldwide and industry experts to its headquarters to share the latest technology trends and business strategies. Only a small number of invitees can attend.
In particular, on the final day of the event, an official dinner hosted personally by Bill Gates is scheduled at his residence. Kwak is also seen as highly likely to attend this dinner, which was paused for a while and recently resumed.
The partnership between the two companies is already firmly established in AI memory. MS is a major customer that sources DRAM and NAND flash from SK hynix, and it is equipping its latest AI chip "Maia 200" with SK hynix's HBM3E (5th-generation HBM).
With global AI expansion tightening memory supply and demand, the industry views Kwak's moves as a step to secure long-term supply stability with key customers and to strengthen technical collaboration on next-generation products.
In addition, since this summit brings together various global corporations' CEOs in one place, there is speculation it could also lead to additional cooperation talks with companies other than MS. SK hynix is currently expanding memory cooperation across major big tech players, including Nvidia and MS as well as Google and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
