LG Uplus said on the 6th that it will offer a Tving discount to new subscribers to the "Double Streaming annual pass," which bundles Netflix and YouTube Premium, on its subscription platform "Youdok."
Under this promotion, new subscribers to the Double Streaming annual pass will receive a Tving coupon for a 3,000 won monthly discount for 12 months. The event runs from May 6 to June 30.
The Double Streaming annual pass lets users access Netflix and YouTube Premium for 18,900 won per month. LG Uplus membership customers at VIP or higher can apply a 4,000 won coupon with the "VIP Kok" benefit to use it for 14,900 won per month.
LG Uplus arranged this event to reduce the burden on customers who use major over-the-top (OTT) services together, in time for Family Month and the peak baseball season. The company expects Tving to provide an additional benefit for sports content users in line with demand for Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) league broadcasts.
Youdok is a subscription platform where users can access OTT, content, shopping, and lifestyle services in one place, and 41 brands are currently available. Cho Yong-seong, executive director in charge of partnerships at LG Uplus, said, "We will expand a variety of subscription products that enhance customers' quality of life."
