Samsung Electro-Mechanics will offer a security zone inside its business site, where access is usually strictly controlled, as a giant playground for employees' children.
On the 4th, Samsung Electro-Mechanics said it will hold a "Family Day" event for Children's Day, inviting about 8,000 family members of employees at three business sites in Korea (Suwon, Sejong, Busan). The Busan business site rented Gyeongnam Masan Robot Land on the 3rd to hold the event. The Suwon and Sejong business sites will open on May 5, Children's Day.
On the opening day, Samsung Electro-Mechanics' workplace will turn into a playground for children. Inside the business site, the company will set up various attractions such as air bounce, a kiddie train, and pedal boats, and run participatory programs including a family OX quiz, a family Olympics, a bubble magic show, and kids K-pop dance.
It also added hands-on elements such as a job experience program where children can try out various occupations, and a business site exploration that completes stamp missions while touring the company. There will also be family experience booths including a mini zoo, finger painting, and soap making.
Yun Jeong-won, a Samsung Electro-Mechanics professional with three children, said, "The kids have always been curious about the company where their mom works, so it's meaningful that we can visit together on Children's Day," adding, "It will be a time when family and company become closer."
Park Bong-su, president and head of the People Team at Samsung Electro-Mechanics, said, "We prepared the event so that the happiness of the workplace and home can meet in celebration of Children's Day," adding, "I hope it will be a gift-like day for all employees' families."
